Mrs. Theodoss develops a trusted and professional relationship with candidates that has resulted in Torden’s growth year over year.
As an Army veteran herself, she makes a concerted effort to reach separating active duty military members, as well as guardsmen and reservists, regarding opportunities at Torden. As a result, Torden has been award the Platinum Medallion by the Department of Labor under the HIRE Vets Act. Kay continues to reach various military transition offices around the country to provide opportunities to our veterans.
In addition to managing the day to day operations of all recruiting requirements, Mrs. Theodoss manages all American Sign Language (ASL) services for our customers in the New England area since 2017. Kay has built a strong professional staff of ASL interpreters allowing Torden to provide support in multiple locations meeting and exceeding customers’ needs.
Prior to her time at Torden, Mrs. Theodoss was the Director of Recruiting and Chief of Staff at L-3 Communications, also known as Titan Corporation prior to the L-3 acquisition, in Reston, VA for the US Army Intelligence and Security Command’s largest language contract from 2003 – 2006. During her tenure, she was responsible for leading a professional team of recruiters and support staff to vet and hire linguists to deploy overseas to support the US military contingency operations in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and the Horn of Africa, as well as sites in the US. Mrs. Theodoss coordinated closely with DA G2 and INSCOM on linguist requirements. This coordination allowed for Titan/L-3 to vet 100s of linguists weekly and qualify on average 50 linguists a week to deploy to the CRC in 2003 – 2004. In addition to the recruiting efforts, Kay provided management support to the Program Manager for this $4.6B language services contract as the Chief of Staff.
Kay received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Hofstra University with a ROTC scholarship. Upon graduation, Mrs. Theodoss was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant into the US Army, Adjutant General Corps branch. She served 6 years on active duty, stationed in various locations in Korea, the Pentagon and finally at US Army Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir.
Kay is married to Michael Theodoss of Hudson, Massachusetts and has one son. In her efforts to continue to support our military, Kay volunteers as a tax preparer at Redstone Arsenal serving our active duty, reserve and retiree community. In her free time, she enjoys playing golf and spending time with family.
